My name is Marcela and I am a fifth year marketing student at San Jose State University, interning as the account manager at Milagro Marketing. I will also be serving as the president of the Spartan Ad Club and member of the Dwight, Bentel & Hall Communications Agency starting in the fall, so I’m basically the new Isadora Busch. I know that I have some huge shoes to fit in all areas, and I’m up for the challenge!

I’m super excited to be interning at Milagro! So excited in fact, that on my first day, I found myself parked in front of the office an hour early. In just two days, I have already learned so much by managing the Facebook pages of our clients: Chacho’s Restaurant, Chacho’s Taco Festival, and Deluxe. David Ocampo has been amazingly supportive and helpful as I get the hang of my position here. Our graphic designer Sergio Estrada has been been an awesome help as well, often giving me feedback before I have the chance to make a mistake. When I first walked in the Milagro office, the colored walls and Milagro art canvases gave me a sense of a very fun work environment and it has definitely been that! I love the friendly vibe between David, Sergio and myself (the very first hint was David’s joking about Sergio’s Santa Claus beard). This is a unique internship where everyone is approachable and relatable.

Organizing this year’s Chacho’s Taco Festival is the biggest project I have ever been in charge of and I can’t wait to get my hands deep into it. I have the amazing privilege of being in charge of the entertainment for the festival. As an aspiring talent manager, this to me is fun work, and I’m thrilled to be experiencing it this summer!
