The Challenge.
Mexican Heritage Corporation in conjunction with the LGBT community launched a competition to bring together the first LGBT Mariachi in the Bay Area. The corporation needed material that would speak to the LGBT community and the Mariachi culture through a mutual love of music and art.
What we did.
Milagro was tasked with developing a simple message of inclusion with the graphic of a rainbow bow-tie as part of the well known Charro/Mariachi outfit. This successful recruitment effort the annual Día de Los Muertos Festival in San José. The piece subsequently won a Silver Addy at the local 2015 Addy awards celebration.
